Where is abortion legal?

 

The legal status of abortion and the availability of the different medication abortion methods varies widely by country.  However, in most countries abortion is legally permissible in at least some circumstances. Only Chile, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Malta, Nicaragua, and the Vatican City ban abortion in all circumstances and at all gestational ages.
